shall i provide you with quotes from liberals on this site to prove that liberals are not as open minded as you THINK they are? let me know.

You can do whatever you like, I could care less. But just a question, why do you have such a problem w/my post? You're seeming defensive & my post wasn't even directed towards anyone specifically, let alone you. Weird.

Libertarian is a better term because it represents independence vs. socialism-collectivism (liberalism).

Also conservatives aren't known for their open mindedness. Try to meet them half way and discuss civil unions and most republicans and traditionalists and they will scoff and then change the subject to football statistics. BWA HA HA!

BTW: Democrats can be traditionalists just look at Hilary Clinton and Obama. They aren't too concerned with tolerance or helping the GLBTQ people now are they?

The type of churches people attend
How they vote for gay rights issues on the ballot
If they have workplace protections for gays and lesbians and transgendered individuals
How many hate crimes occur in the town
People of different races don't interact much

I follow the police for a few hours. If I see them jump out of their car and pin an old black lady to the ground while planting weapons on her; I look elsewhere.

I bring my gang of shamans with me and have a ritual goat sacrifice orgy in the town square. Bigotry is then measured by the relative levels of bemusement vs. horror in the onlooking crowd, as measured by my army of nude female Fillipino tree spies.

i think a lot of people are sick of liberals saying how they are so open minded and tolerant. that is far from the truth. as i said before, you are only open minded to your own beliefs. everyone is that way....conservative and liberals. here are some examples for you though....feel free to respond and not run and hide.

open minded liberal about golf.... Golf is not a sport.

another liberal that is so open minded and tolerant toward republicans:

More evidence came out that the "town hallers" were paid protesters and Republican party officials. Lou Dobbs is keeping the "birther" movement alive, thereby chasing more viewers away from his show.

Jenny Sanford move out of the governor's mansion and took the kids. Leaving Mark to ruminate about his "soul mate" and strangle chickens.

More revelations came out about the "C Street family" and it turns out their status more closely resembles that of a lobbyist than a church.

BUT, the thing that has Republicans jumping for joy is this. No Republican office holder was caught with a mistress, a "soul mate", a hooker, a page or trolling in an airport restroom. All in all they're probably thrilled to have a week like this.

There will always be extremists on either side. I'm sure I could drudge up some videos of some bigoted Conservatives (I know I know...redundant...) but you wouldn't even be moved in your opinion.

Liberals fall under three areas IMO: Traditionalists (not much different from conservatives-they are basically useless), socialists (everybody should be the same and dedicate all power to the government), and Independents (Libertarian).

Then you have moderates. Basically at the end of the day politics has a lot of double speak and focuses purely on control and issues that do not really benefit society.
