I for one, wish Mr. Vick well. He made a tremendous mistake - admitted it, and paid for it.

Now he has an outstanding opportunity to become a real leader - someone who others can relate to - and to truely do some good - not only for himself certainly - but for the entire nation of young people who follow him.

Time will tell if he is up to the challenge. Personally? I believe he is.

I need to chime in here. Yes, he did his time, but I think people forget how gruesome his actions were. He hung dogs, shot dogs, and electrocuted dogs. Not to mention his involvement in dog fighting. I don't think he deserves another chance at being a role model for our youth. Sorry, he can get a 9-5 job like the rest of us, instead of making millions. I get grossed out when I think of what he did. And there is a direct correlation between animal cruelty and human abuse. If I were a woman, I'd stay away from this loser.

Hopefully events like this will cause parents to start being a role model for their own kids and stop letting them worship people they'll never meant. Admire his talent - admire his achievements - don't admire him; you don't even know him. But that’s just me – I know a lot of other parents have no problem with celebs and athletes being their child’s “hero”

What I wish is that FAR less money, time, effort and level of importance was placed on sports and entertainment. It's gone from a past-time, an amusing diversion, to a major focus in people's lives.

I don't think anyone's forgotten anything. And often, people who've "been there, done that" and reformed are, indeed, the best role models to teach kids not to make the same mistakes they did. I just hope he actually follows through, that's all.

Michael Vick seems to have his head on his shoulders now. He did a great interview and answered the questions well. I think he deserves another chance at life.

I got a problem with how he answered one of the questions, Something I cant quote it but something about he didnt realize how much people love their animals.

Really? Did someone have to explain it to him?

No, I do not wish him well, I'm just glad he didn't end up with the Patriots.

The guy's a sociopath.

Stac i know you're looking for a heated racial debate.

Fact is

1. Vick served his time
2. Vick committed an awful act
3. Vick just happens to be an African American

Question for you

1. You don't like dog killers - Fine (nothing racist about it)
2. Do you think once a person serves their time or pays their debt to society they should still be greeted with hate?

Your answer to question 2 will be the most telling of where you fall, because i'd assume if you're a non-racist, you'd stay pretty consistent on your belief that even after jail time you have not paid your debt to society therefore you should not be forgiven (whether killing dogs, molesting children, stealing candy, killing people etc)

Biggest question is what is your position on people who commit crimes and pay their debt to society by serving time in jail. Should they be forgiven and allowed to move forward with there lives or should they be harassed continually for what they did? (Also no easy cop out with it depends on what they did stuff)

Oh do you think pittbulls have a place in civilized society?
