We've had previous Presidents with dual citizenship; it hasn't mattered before.
We'll probably have future Presidents with dual citizenship. It won't matter then, either.
BECAUSE THE UNITED STATES DOESN'T CARE ABOUT HOW OTHER COUNTRIES CONFER CITIZENSHIP.
Well then, get your friends in Congress to go ahead and pass an ex post facto statute confirming your view - not that it would do much good - any statute repugnant to the Constitution is null and void from the time of its writing.
The president has admitted that his father was not a U.S. citizen at the time of the president's birth.
Do you understand that people have two parents, and ANY ONE of them, being a citizen at ones birth does indeed make you a citizen? Was the mother a US citizen? If the answer is yes, then Obama is indeed a citizen..
Its pretty bad when I have to concur with liberals on a topic..

The question has never been whether the president is or is not a citizen, rather, whether or not he is a natural born citizen.
there's implied precedent in the fact that there have already been presidents whose parents were not born in the u.s.
if for some bizarre reason the uk tried to claim obama as a british citizen, our laws wouldn't recognize it.
maybe at some point there will be a precedent set in a *u.s.* court that establishes whether or not someone born in the u.s. to a non-citizen is considered natural born for purposes of becoming president, but at the moment nothing in the u.s. constitution, law, or code specifies either way, and there's never been a supreme court decision on the matter.
what is your concern here, exactly? do you think obama is going to be more loyal to a country where he's never lived, that he has no real connection to, just because his father happened to be a citizen of a colony of that country when he was born?

Neither would UK law. The 1982 Nationality Act lays out very clear criteria as to who qualifies as a UK citizen and who does not. Neither Obama nor 99.9999999% of US citizens would qualify.
Ya don't want the Brits impressing our president as their president, do you?
There is already a precedent on this matter.
Who would care? If Great Britain wants to confer citizenship on Obama, who cares?
