You don't even try to hide your socialist bent, do you?

Their salaries are THEIRS. They most certainly are not federal funds.

Rational? Something apparently foreign to you judging by your post...

Actually newsworthy is correct... the funny thing is that liberal politicians are against taxing "cadillac insurance plans" and in fact are offering ammendments to INCREASE the limit at which it starts being taxed... it appears the liberals don't want the public to know they are part of the problem...

Who is paying them? The federal government, that's who. Who is that? It's you and me!

Do you have proof?

It is important to remember who is doing the buying and when.

The "federal government" allows the employee (private person) to select a plan (private insurer). The federal government (mine & your tax money) does pay a percentage (just like ANY private employer would), but once an employee is paid, it is his money to pay his portion of the private plan.

Everyone got it now??

Oh, I forgot. The "federal" employee (private person) has to go to a private doctor and private hospital for treatment.

Is it so complicated?

The federal governmnet pays the federal employee's salary! Your taxes are paying these people's salaries. What part of that don't you understand?

I think this thread has strayed a bit from the OP. The OP states that Dick Armey (FreedomWorks) has lived on the backs of taxpayers most of his adult life and he is the one spearheading the TeaBag Parties to protest against Health Care Reform of any kind. It's like as Moyer put's it, Armey is protesting something he has enjoyed most of his adult life, kind of ironic don't you think?

Thanks for bringing this back on track. Yes, I agree it's ironic. It's equally ironic that someone can't understand that a federal employee gets paid with tax money.
