'The Present'--a gift.

Both parents should loose custody and go to prison, don't pass "GO" and don't receive any money!

i don't think that prison time would do any good for these delusional people. But I do believe paying back the time used by the civil servants is completely warranted. Make them work off the money at a prisoner's pay rate. Also, they should be visited by social workers on a regular basis and have to take parenting classes ...

And the cameras should go the heck away.

That's good...does it mean they don't get any more publicity (because that would be the real punishment!)

Yes as long as they are not on tv anymore I could care what else happens to them.

I disagree with prison. Prison should be reserved for the dangerous and habitual criminals of which these folks are not. A more fitting punishment- aside from the public shame they are already getting- would be to force them to pay back every dime of money they cost the taxpayers. Garnish it from their pay, attach their home and make it bankruptcy proof. In other words, you WILL pay this back. On top of that they should be forced to do many hours of public humiliation service in which they are made to pick up trash in downtown Ft Collins as people watch and sneer at them.

The ultimate irony would be if:

1)The TV network that had been reported as having given them a reality show deal had to do it.
2)Nobody watched the reality show so the network lost its pants.
3)The family had to turn over all of the reality show earnings to Larimer/Weld Counties and/or state to victim's comp fund due to state law preventing profit due to criminal acts.

People do crazy things all the time, all over the world. That's the state of affairs, anyway. The problem is the bubble of the controlled media which burst long ago when the internet exploded.

I wish we could go back to the nineties of sensible internet and mass media.
