On TV, Fox is the ONLY right-wing network, so it gets 100% of the right-wing audience.
Liberals have multiple TV news networks to choose from, so their audience is split between MSNBC, CNN, and the rest.
Take a group of 50 conservatives and 50 liberals.
Here is a breakdown of what networks they will watch:
Fox - all 50 conservatives
MSNBC - 15 libs
CNN - 15 libs
PBS - 5 libs
ABC - 5 libs
CBS - 5 libs
NBC - 5 libs
Now do you see why Fox gets the largest audience?
They have a monopoly on right-wing TV.
You are not obviously very smart!
Libs do watch FOX...you only get the truth and all
news and updates where CNN, NBC, MSNBC, NY Times,
and ABC tend to lie and filter bad news about Libs.
Fair and balanced!
Indeed, the cross section for MSNBC or CNN would mirror your analysis of FOX news, just switch conservative to liberal. All the digs on FOX apply to MSNBC and, to a lessor extent, CNN as well. The difference though is that FOX News and many of their fans like to actively deny that they are a Republican mouthpiece. Why not just admit it? Why not brand it "the voice of the conservative movement" or something? You don't see MSNBC so actively pretending to be something that they are not (fair and balanced).
names and examples please!!! As I mentioned the only true regular conservatives on FOX that do not have a mixture of guests might be Sean and Beck, but he isn't even conservative,he is whatever and he isn't into guests like some of the others. If you watch O'Reilly, which obviously you do not, he is almost always defending Obama. I don't mean Obama's policies necessarily, but the man himself. I would call that pretty fair and balanced, wouldn't you?
There is plenty wrong with the Government advising the press to watch their "free speech".
You're exactly right. Basically Obama is telling them that if they go the route of Fox News (criticizing the administration and it's policies, the czars, etc., etc.) there will be hell to pay, so they'd better tow the line.
It is clear that the Obama administration does not like our Freedom of Speech, guaranteed by the Constitution, and they are aiming at it with everything they've got, especially through FCC rules outlined by Mark Lloyd which are more specifically aimed at talk radio.
This "president" is nothing less than a dictator, and he is planning on (in his own words) "fundamentally change[ing] America". He cannot do it without controlling the media, which he is taking direct aim at, and talk of "bailing out news organizations" would be all he needs to take control of them. Look how he now dictates to other companies who have taken "bailout" money?

Only anecdotal evidence, but I don't know any liberals that watch Fox news. Why would they?
Good advice. Reading a newspaper wouldn't hurt, either.
Fox is not a news network. It's a conservative propaganda machine.
For something to be "propaganda", it has to be false and misleading information. Reporting actual news and events, honestly and truthfully, is not propaganda.
I believe that Fox News (I just don't listen to the other networks anymore, or at least rarely) employs some of the most professional journalists, and has the most honest reporting of any other news organization you can name. Their people are second to none in the business.
Who can take someone like Chris Matthews seriously? He gets a "tingle" up his leg when he hears Obama speak?
And why do the others not report so many important stories? Where have they been in reporting on the numerous Marxist/socialists that are Obama's "czars", whom are advising him on polices that affect all Americans. When did we become a Marxist dictatorship? Why arent' these other news organizations asking questions?
If anything, it is the other so-called "news" organizations that are "not news". They are shills for the Obama White House. They are not worth listening to for five minutes.

My grandmother was always mad about politics and Obama...just very angry. I found out that she had been sitting in front of Fox news all day. I blocked the channel. She is a much happier person now.
People who watch FOX are unbalanced, so of course Fox is balanced to them. Fox thinks FOR them. Top story "26 nuns leap from Empire state building". Not reported on other stations ? SEE ? Fox is on the cutting edge. FOX had the skinny. Fox for president. Fox restaurants all over the world. Fox kindergarten...get' em started early. And Fox beverage : Foxahol. for ahols.

You can combine all the liberal networks entirely and FOX still beats them hands down. Does this mean that liberals are the minority? I would think so.

More proof that you and your ilk would rather restrict personal freedoms than face dissent.
I'll bet you're a big supporter of "net neutrality" and the "fairness doctrine."
