I wonder if you'll still be denying reality when the reports on the stimulus are compiled this month.

You could probably make the claim that the reports are forgeries.
It wouldn't be the craziest thing you've said.

No, it was the right-wing propagandists who said all that, and your mind was not strong enough to resist them. There are Obama's words right on the page before you...double-digit unemployment numbers...double-digit unemployment numbers...double-digit unemployment numbers. And still you claim he said nothing above 8%. Are you so totally on stun in the rest of your life as well, or does this happen to you only with regard to politics?

You mean Obama or the right-wing propagandists. Seems to me that the latter are the only ones you have any actual ear for.

The high end estimate at CBO says 2.3 million jobs in 2009 over the baseline.
You must still not have read the stories which claimed that unemployment will go up BECAUSE of the stimulus plan, not despite it.

Also, Obamas own website claims 30,000 jobs saved/created due to the stimulus, thats a far cry from 2.3M jobs..

Yoohoo, grasshopper. The point was about getting funds into the hands of people who would spend them, remember? You were complaining how it was done all wrong...something about giving it all to bureaucrats. Not willing to defend that claim anymore, are you? Running away instead into some new and unrelated claim about jobs? Well, as often as we've seen you do that before when outwitted, it's hardly any surprise to see you do it again.
You're the one outwitted here. You proved my point with your "list". All bureaucratic/government control.

Uh....yes. This thread is about the NEW stimulus that the desperate dems are contemplating to create jobs, something their first stimulus failed to do, like they promised. Jobs and spending - keep up.

Um, that was what they were intended to do with the direct budget support. Otherwise, they would have ended up firing people and cutting essential services to close those gaps.
Wrong again.

Saggy, when will you learn? There is a clear record of the promises made. Can't escape the plethora of comments, speeches and quotes from obama and his "team" of dunces.

30,000 jobs from 2.2 billion spent (of 16 billion in contracts), which is a better rate than expected.
But it still less than one percent of the stimulus.

So even though these great early reports might make it look like the stimulus will create 11 million jobs - it won't. Not directly. 3 million over the next couple of years is a conservative estimate.

Your figures are wrong..

$173Billion has been spent

to create 30,000 jobs, of which 25% of those jobs are already unemployed again because their projects are completed..

Thats $173 BILLION to create 30,383 TEMPORARY jobs, and thats Obamas own figures..
