It looks like this whole thing has devolved to a racial issue. She talks about being white and a minority at the school, and how it supposedly makes her discriminated and more vulnerable to crime. So far every suspect has either been black or latino, possibility of this being charged as a hate crime?

Last year our Attorney General came out claiming that we are dishonest about our discussion of race relations in this country. Where the hell is he now?...Shouldn't this be investigated as a bias crime?
I'm sorry to say that this country is going to become more ethnically and racially divided than ever before. And, it is because of dishonesty.

Thanks for the link. I am very interested in this case and would like to see something that really says what the victim's race is. I don't think that she has to be white just because the informant was. It appears she might have been white and trying very hard to make points with at least one boy in the group. It is too bad that only CNN has really reported this thing up to now. Fox has done some but not as much as they should have.
I do wonder why our vaunted AG hasn't said word one to the media about this deal. He did talk about punishing whites for racial attacks and if this turns out to be as racial as it sounds like he should be looking into it. Eric Holder is as racist as anybody I know.
The only way to proove this was about race is if they have a video and the attackers were using racial remarks in their attack on her. Even if there was one, I doubt you'd see Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton marching in support of her since she isn't black or brown.
This is what happens when promiscuity is promoted and there are hundreds of thousands of pornographic images of mostly white girls doing unspeakable acts cluttering the internet. Girls are going to bear the brunt of the violence that sexual license incites.
Young men are going to act on their inflamed passions in this pornography soaked culture. This is the sexual revolution in action. It all started with innocent playboy and has progressed to the intense violence of teenage gang rapes.

I do think it plays a role. It would also be nice for parents to parent, be role models, discipline, talk, etc.
The parents have been marginalized in this culture. Between school, TV, video games, radio, internet and movies parents are merely the adult roommates that provide the building where kids sleep at night. With the federal government increasing the school year soon, legislation says that parents will play an even smaller role going forward.
During the Soviet revolution the Bolshevik leadership wanted all children raised by the state in group homes away from the troublesome influence of parents to produce the "perfect guilt free sexual person". What the red Soviets weren't able to do we have almost accomplished here in 2009.

The lip service and double talk you are clamoring for will only confuse your situation. At least now you can identify the agenda and it is plainly obvious they do not care about what happened to this girl and her family. How would half truths heal those wounds?
Obama is not going to fly out to meet her like he did with that professor at Harvard. Her pain will be forever and it is up to her family to provide the emotional triage for this heinous crime. It is obvious that hate crimes and race hustling is not meant to protect a young girl like this. The faster you wise up the better.
