I think this is a really smart posting. What we might really have to argue about is to what extent ideological motivations should be considered in defining terrorism. If you count ideological motivations in one case as being definitive, they must count in all cases. Problems along lines such as these are usually what people confront when they disagree about definitions.
I must admit, I'm truly astounded that things like this still go on, even today. We elected our first mixed race President and ppl are still burning crosses? Can't you see the dichotomy in that? How terribly backward and ignorant! I really had NO IDEA that racism to this extent still existed, WOW.
Sad to say it but it doesn't surprise me at all. Racism is alive and kicking as subtle as it is. If one is a racist, I would much prefer that you just state it but most people are too afraid like these guys that under the cloak of darkness decided to use KKK intimidation methods.
Racism will be a part of life forever. This is sad but true. Everyone has prejudices, some more obvious than others.
I agree with you, I would rather have someone be honest than to revert to something like this...
How silly. Do you think they were part Christain and part Muslim?
Jihad is Arabic. Just like holy war, or more accurately, struggle, is English. How silly of you not to know this.
