Please, don't call Sunny a conservative. Anyone who suggests marking "undesireables" with a tattoo is not conservative.

Are you guys actually so desperate that even something this absurd will pass for an issue? If this is the worst thing you imagine liberals are doing, shouldn't you give up on politics, enjoy life and go fishing or something?

Many of those on the Left don't want to ... "offend' anyone. They believe the world should be full of "warm fuzzies". Hence Political Correctness - PC.

PC is c rap. The real world is not full of "warm fuzzies". And if someone is "offended" by a term - get over it. It ain't gonna kill ya to hear an "offensive" term!

For Pete's sake people - grow up! Life can be harsh. People can, do and will fail - if a kid screws up a class in class - give them an "F"!

Ironically it's people that are more rightist (not right of center, but slightly beyond that...I was right of center, now left of center, not much of a move), don't want people to write C-RAP or DUCK (take out the D and replace it with an F).

Not making racist remarks or homophobic remarks isn't giving the "warm fuzzies" it's respecting a person. It won't kill you, but it won't help things either. Call a Black person the N word...see what happens next...

If you give kids an F, you will be hurting their feelings and shattering their self esteem. In the Liberal world, nobody ever gets hurt, so all kids should pass so that nobody gets hurt! Also, grades create unnecessary competition and foster selfishness LOL We are all citizens of the world and we should work together as a team, not as individuals

Blacks call each other the "N" word.

It is getting so people are afraid to speak for fear of "offending" some one.

And, "Hate Speech" laws are ridiculous! These laws are nothing more than an attempt to stifle speech - to criminalize speech - to limit freedoms.

Are you in the UK? We don't have hate speech laws in the US.

***** is not the same. I'm half Black. So White Anglo Protestant Heterosexuals (male)...the only group I can think of that doesn't have any stigma attached to them...should be able to call a Black person the N word? Where is the balance? Cracker? Really?

You see my point. One group that has not been marginalized in the entire history of our nation isn't on the same level as those groups that have been.

Initially I agreed with your premise. However, this is assuming that people aren't stupid. People are stupid, however. Sorry putting that bluntly, but the fact of the matter is that constant speech like this tends to reinforce untrue stereotypes.

Groups that essentially have no slurs, well, they have the power. It's not about offending, it's also a matter of how constant a barrage stereotypes we want. Do we really want to go backwards and have the same outdated notions we once held concerning minorities?
