I do not assume that. I have several good friends that are conservatives and talk to some people on this board as friends. I am more calmer than some people who wish death on Obama or calling him "hussein Obama" or call him a failure just like that. Did you see the thread by Robertgibbs that said liberals are traitors?
Sure thing. I don't know if it is a good thing if you believe in EVERYTHING your party tells you. I am for death penalty which is a conservative stance and you are ok which abortion and have a gay son. It works out.
As long as I feel the "right" is oppressing women (against abortion) and gays, I doubt I will ever become a conservative though. Sure, I agree on some of the stances but I will not make the conversion.
I just cannot believe what happened to some people on the right when Obama won. It seems like everything in the USA was perfectly fine until Obama became president.
You LV, you don't have to be labeled either way. In reality there is no such thing as a pure liberal or pure conservative. Consider yourself as a pure independent free to make chioces on stances that you feel strongly about and not just "because" like many of these other drones. You will find that there is a lot of gray areas on many issues

Proceeding just as obama planned, yes. Can't you read? It is a reality - as long as his policies have a chance of being enacted, the destruction of the US is proceeding just the way he planned....and we predicted.
On every issue, his policies are meeting heavy resistance from the populace, and the polls reflect that.

While you're at it, and apparently in the mind-reading business, can you enlighten us regarding WHY Obama plans to destroy the U.S.? How exactly does that benefit President Obama? Put some thought into your statements, Sarene. And AGAIN, please give us some idea of WHERE you received verifiable information regarding what President Obama is planning for the U.S. in terms of destroying the country..........
Some people crave attention so much that they don't care if it is negative or positive, just as long as it is attention. Some people just love to fight so much that when they run out of people in "real life" who will fight with them they need to pick fights online. Who knows, it would probably take a professional to figure out.
But, what I do know, is that if we listed all the hateful, vile remarks made by her about President Obama it would take up pages and pages and pages. On the other hand, the OP made one unfortunate remark more than a year ago and, since that is the only thing S has to go on, she just uses it over and over and over and over again. As if all the regular people on this forum will somehow forget the pages and pages and pages of hatred she has poured onto this forum because of ONE remark made by the OP. So foolish. But hatred does blind one.

Or maybe it would be more accurate to say, does it seem that some people just have to try to tear down and discredit any thread about Obama which is NOT a Hate-Obama thread? I've noticed that pattern on this board. Guess some folks just consider if their "job" to keep cranking out the "hate Obama" messages on the Internet, and the "Obama is going to destroy the U.S." posts over and over. Interesting campaign, don't you think?

Sanrene, there is not one person who has been in this thread that is unaware about LV's post last year as you have brought it up in nearly EVERY one of your responses. She has apologized and denounced her comments so give it a rest. What is the purpose anyway? So you can feel all pious while making a 20 year old kid feel small for a stupid comment she made 1 year ago. You are a hypocrite and bully because YOU are harping so much on Obama's flaws, etc and have the nerve to criticize anyone who expressed any criticism against Bush. Just the fact that you do it to get "even" with those who criticized Bush just shows how much immature you are. You have NO leg to stand on so please go post somewhere else. Seems to me that the motive could be to try to discredit someone who actually put up a good thread about what's really going on in this country, and a positive, healthy perspective about the insanity and blindness of the political hatred involving this President.
There is definitely the ring of truth in the OP. That's why some people simply cannot let this thread stand without trying to drown out any sanity regarding the issue. I would suggest that immaturity is not the problem. My guess would be a very old, rigid way of thinking and a bitter attitude could be the driver behind so many of the posts.

C-D board is an "information portal". You can come on board and get information about any subject. By the same token, you can disseminate information to the rest of the world thru the information portal. There is a faction out there in cyberspace who consider it their mission to destroy Obama and the current administration at any cost, using any means. CD and other forums provide an opportunity to disseminate a message that if repeated enough times can be construed as the truth. I personally believe that there are some who are paid for their time to do just that. "Agent provacateurs", if you will.
