IMO he gives straight people MORE of a reason to call us everything from perverts to f*gs and a few other choice words. There is no sense in performing on NATIONAL TV in that manner. The same also goes for straight performers as well.
Call me old fashion, but if I wanna see 2 men kissing, 2 women kissing, or even a man and a woman kissing or doing any other LUDE act, I'll watch porn.
You're absolutely right. These kinds of actions make it really hard for regular gay folks to be respected. It's acts like this that makes a lot of people believe that there is a gay "lifestyle" that revolves around wanton sexuality and exhibitionism.

Agreed. I am a very open minded person, and the kiss didn't bother me at all, but the simulated fellatio was too much. I will agree that double standards sure do abound here though, as I thought Shakira's performance on the same night was also pretty raunchy.

I think Adam Lambert was going for a shocking performance with a creative theatrical edge, ala early Madonna, and instead ended up with predictable sleaze. He maybe needs to earn a bit of street-cred first, and take some tips from those who have perfected the art of theatrical performance such as Lady Gaga.

Too bad unfortunately I have to agree with dcslcd.

I hope you don't have any kids.

This is purely an in-your-face-take-that maneuver intended to shock people--and it worked. Like it or not, many people are disgusted by such blatant same sex PDA's. Many do not care to be exposed to opposite sex behavior of that sort. That's just the way it is.

He is being discussed for sure. Who was it that said any news is good news if you are a celebrity?

Good Morning America Cancels Adam Lambert Concert - mediabistro.com: TVNewser

Seems ABC had enough of that "moment". He is part of the radical gay activist shockers that give homosexuality it's "bad name".

First on TVNewser: American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert won't be appearing on "Good Morning America" tomorrow.

TVNewser has learned ABC News canceled the concert after Lambert's sexually charged performance at the American Music Awards Sunday night.

ALL of the award shows are insipidly stupid efforts at self-congratulatory excess and are not worth watching.

Outrageous actions on stage are intentional and designed to create controversy. The controversies are proven career-enhancing maneuvers, i.e., do something notorious and you get a hundred million dollars of free publicity.

Donald Trump is getting a BILLION dollars of free publicity off of the Carrie Prejean / Perez Hilton cat fight.

Clowns like Dobson get into the act, trying to milk donations by decrying the decline in decency and appealing yet again for more donations to fight the good fight on behalf of all that is holy and pure. NOTHING is holy and pure. Nothing.

P. T. Barnum smiles in his grave, proven right again by Circus Americana: "There's a sucker born every minute and two to take him." (No one is sure that Barnum really coined this term.)

Journalist H.L. Menken also smiles in his grave, proven right yet again: "No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American people." He sure got that right.

To the circus! Lights! Camera! Action! Cue the Promoters! Cue the Fundies! Cue the Fast Buck Artists! Cue the shocked moms!

And now Good Morning America has cancelled his concert:

Free Adam Lambert concert for 'Good Morning America' is canceled | Ministry of Gossip | Los Angeles Times

I keep in mind that Madonna was banned, censored, and vilified by many in the 1980s. Seems almost quaint now.
