Sure can.

1) It's the only far right wing channel out there on mainstream cable, so right wing viewership is concentrated there rather than spread out over other networks.

2) People who watch for the "train wreck" factor.

You know, for all of you who blast FOX< I still want to know why you care. If you don't like the channel don't watch..I don't buy tabloids publications cause I think they are a waste. I check Huffinton Report almost daily just to see what is being said..
I don't watch Faux News, with the rare exceptions being when there is nothing else on and I want to see what lunacy their talking heads are spouting forth.

In theory, I agree.

In practice however, Faux News is sleazy near-tabloid TV channel that tries to pass itself off as a legitimate news source, and as a result a rather large percentage of the right wingers in this country take their marching orders from those idiots on that channel.

If they would just come out and admit they are a biased, opinion driven network, then I wouldn't give a flying **** what they do. Until that time, we'll keep calling them on their crap.

Better? LOL
Hey I never said that CNN, NBC, MSNBC et al weren't liberal, I just said that the report saying Faux was "balanced" is bs. At least NPR/Pew will admit the liberal bias, since there's no such thing as unbiased media.

In fact one thing I don't like about CNN is how they're always whining about how "independent" they are (Lou Dobbs- "Mr. Independent"; Campbell Brown-"No Bias. No Bulls**t") which is garbage. It's just a ploy to gain market share so while all the other outlets are openly biased, CNN poses as an unbiased ray of light. Granted their not as far to the left as say NBC, but they're still liberal, and the best source for news. You should never be ashamed of your political roots, unless of course you're a rethuglican/fascist.

Faux News ranks only slightly higher than a TV tabloid.
I think you're being generous. They are a TV tabloid. Of the Far Right variety.

Bingo hit the nail on the head, and thank you it is choice, don't like it don't watch it, must have something they like, they seem to know a lot about it. Maybe it is because they tell things the way it is!

Maybe because they mislead their viewers. If you see something wrong, do you just turn away and ignore it?

Have you watched the video of Murdoch? He admitted they tried to manipulate people.
How come all Fox lovers avoid that video?
There is absolutely no interpretation of what he said, its real!

Plus the whole thread is about documentation of their "controversies." MediaMatters and Jon Stewart practically make their livings pointing out their "controversies."

But what difference does it make? I think this subject comes up about once a week: shall we again mention the "other side" contributors FOX has?

Gretta
Shepard Smith
Juan Williams as a regular contributor
Geraldo
just to mention a few...Name that many that are regulars on CNN or MSNBC?

I watch Fox nightly: usually O'Reilly and that is about it. I also watch other channels as well as reading a couple of papers daily.

I don't care what you watch and I don't spend time attacking the liberal channels, so why attack FOX at every turn..

I do wonder how anyone can put much faith into "Huffington Post" or the NY Times" but I don't say people who watch them are all dumb, ignorant, uninformed nor do I say the same about those who represent them...

This is back to the liberals that seem to think they need to blast to get their views known..
