I'm as far from liberal as one can get and I firmly know that there are no inherent differences between the races. Like it or not, the only thing that makes you different from someone of another race is your skin coloring. Nothing else!

If I disagree with someone strongly enough about an issue, to think he is having a negative effect on either their own life or someone elses life, I believe it should be my duty to say something and to fight against it. Prostitution was just a very severe case I was using as an example.
I would never be accepting of my child if he was a drug dealer, or even a drug user. Even if the only person that he hurt was himself.
If I think my child being with a person of another race is detrimental to their life, happiness, or even safety. Then I cannot sit there with my mouth closed pretending like I don't have a problem with it.
On the other hand, if that person proved me wrong, then I am a big enough person to admit it. But like I said, if my daughter married a drug dealer or theif or cheater, I would also want her to leave him and I would not just shut my mouth about it because I didn't want to push her away.
Statistically, a drug user is more likely to be a criminal, and the marriage of a drug user rarely lasts. Sadly, the same can be said about a Black man.
Once statistics change(as in the world we live in changes), I would feel different, but until then, I would rather side with the statistics. I am not a racist, I am a realist. I live in reality, and someday I hope you people will join me.
Goodness! Racists are really paranoid. I'm grateful for living in Southern California where this type of thinking is not common.
Racism is the belief that one race is superior to another.
Having a dating preference and caring about your own heritage does not make one a "racist".
What a predictable cry from Long Island.
Why would race even be factor on who your daughter should date? Shouldn't the important things be about the character of the person she is dating, and if she is treated well?? and not race?
Many black women are also against IR and who can blame them considering that the ratio of such relationships is overwhelmingly tilted towards black man/white woman compared to white man/black woman.
As a white woman who prefers black men, my main curiosity regarding interracial marriage is regarding divorce rate. I have often wondered if there is a higher divorce rate among interracial marriages as opposed to marrying within one's race. Should Mr. Perfect present himself, statistics will not influence my zest to say YES! Just one of those questions I ponder upon occassion.

Go to the "Why is it that black people cannot be racist?" thread. There you'll see that this is BS, unfortunately.
She wants her son to marry a "healthy" black girl, NOTHING else. Would be outrageous!!
I honestly have only heard this from black Americans so far.
Edit:
Ah, I didn't see you here, Heaveno. I see.
Why would you imply that she's a racist? Heaveno is saying the same. Oh wait, we already have a thread for that. "Why black people can't be racist"
You really have a sincere issue with my response, which I dare not change. If wanting to have my son marry a black, educated, healthy black woman who happens to be the least who is able to be married, then so be it. I need not have your approval of my beliefs for my son and my desire to ensure that black women have a better chance of being married to the one that she prefers. Most black women as we know will stay with her own race and I want my son to be available for her firstly.
No, I am not. But you are quick to jump to conclusions. I have one son from my previous marriage to a white man. Preference does not equal racist. Some folks like spicy food and some don't.

Having a preference for black men (as the poster you just responded to) or a preference for white men, does not mean that a person is not willing to date other races. I have never been attracted to red-headed, freckled guys but that does not mean that I am completely close-minded about dating one if he catches my eye. A preference is just that.
So all those minority chicks that are into white guys would be racist against their own then, I assume?
