Europe only spends 10% of their GDP and they cover 100%

We can do they same if Americans stop listening to right wing hate and fearmongering.
Listen lets forget all this tear jerking non-sense....If people get there priorities straight and spend there money correctly..(Dont buy i-pods or flat screen T.V's if your kids dont have Health insurance)...priorities.....You talk about Europe...plz.....people wait months or longer for operations and just plain ol doctors office visits.

Our system is the best in the world...just tweek a few things and were done.....Noooo...the left wants "overhaul"...everything....rediculous!

Healthcare is not a right....spend your money properly and you can afford it!

The non-contributers are telling the tax-paying contributers how to spend there money.....hmm seems wrong to me.

These are the glasses Specter is looking through. Toomey is the Republican. It was only on December 18 that this poll number came out. The real Democrat running against Specter in the Primary is losing to him. I anticpate Specter will poop more "Secrets of the GOP" as we hurtle toward the 2010 elections. Sure hope Specter has no secrets. At 44-44 that PA race could get bloody.
I can tell you for a fact that people here in Pennsylvania want Specter's head on a stick, figuratively speaking.

Looks like because of the mandate a lot of yokels won't be able to get their fancy bass boats and pickups. Responsibility sucks, no?

You know what I like about your post?

At least it didn't include any of the B.S misinformation ( except for the fact our health system is not the best in the World says you ) that most right wingers put out in order to lie their way out of a program they don't want.

You just don't think you should subsidize health care for others unable or unwilling to make the right choices. A valid argument!

I feel otherwise. And I think most Americans are more generous that that.

You are so very responsible to pay your way at the doc-n-box for minor ailments and check ups. Wow! I'm impressed.
wrong.....I put the money away that I would spend on INSURANCE for when I need it....its called personal responsibility.....why should I expect a corporation or government or anyone else to pay for ME.

my life, my body,....my responsibility

This is going over your head. You cannot seem to grasp the fact that if you do not have catastropic health insurance you are a walking liablity to the taxpayer and those forced to pay higher premiums for your no-insurance ego trip.

You think your bullet proof and nobody can tell you different.

No problem - it's Obama.

Obama: I used to say 47 million uninsured. Now, it's 30 million. (http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/blogs/beltway-confidential/Obama-I-used-to-say-47-million-uninsured--Now-its-30-million-58237842.html - broken link)

In his speech tonight, the president introduced a new number in the health care debate. Remember all those statements from Democrats, including Barack Obama himself, that 47 million Americans are without health insurance? That's no longer the operative number. "There are now more than thirty million American citizens who cannot get coverage," the president said in tonight's speech.

Because it should be none of government's business whether or not healthcare is offered. Businesses does it as a benefit/perk to get the best employees - and to lower cost by pooling a bunch of health care plans together. Ultimately it's the individual's responsibility to obtain their own health care.

What do you think is happening now with this bill? You have 30-45 million "deadbeats" (in your opinion) getting free health care. Extra taxes will be collected for 3 years until anyone benefits. Hello??
