If your family had been kidnapped and they had 3 hours to live.
if you had an accomplish in custody and you knew to water board them was the only way to save your family, would you allow the accomplish to be water boarded in order to save your family

Right on, if it came down to my families safety or some piece of trash, then I have no problem taking out the trash

Hypothetical and impossible to prove, so it is inadmissible as an analogy. Oh, I'm also a paleoconservative.

Yes, I would waterboard the kidnapper, but it is impossible to stretch into a policy for interrogating terrorists.

Left has arrived. Had to grab my morning coffee first. Here's what I posted on the enhanced interrogation thread in the context of waterboarding foreign terrorists:

What difference does it make if it's a terrorist or a common criminal? Should we waterboard a domestic kidnapper who has a victim buried underground with only hours to live? The law says no, but in that situation you might choose to break the law and face the consequences later.
