I'm not a Republican. But it seems like the neo-cons want everyone to believe in fundamentalist Christianity, be opposed to global warming and other science that thwarts the unfettered practice of capitalism, be opposed to any government funding beyond the military, be opposed to helping people down on their luck, etc.

Generally speaking, a moderate republican is someone who holds moderate right wing views. More likely to support same sex unions, pro-choice, pro-fiscal conservatism, pro-privacy, yet open to various socially conscious policy. At least that is the way I would view it.

Aren't you cute?

I said I'm not a Republican. I can't speak for them. I would guess a moderate Republican would be open to people of all religions, and to people of no religion. A moderate Republican would not see a divide between Reupblicanism and science. Thinking back to my father, who was a politician, a mod. Repub is in favor of government in some situations. For example, my dad saw our community's public recreation center and said "I wish we could have something like that". He saw it as a use of government money for the public good.

So by your definition a Moderate republican must be pro choice and pro gay marriage.

Seem you define a moderate republican as a liberal on social issues and conservative on fiscal issues

Then I would have to say there are very few Moderate republicans. Olivia snow would be one i believe she is pro choice. I think if you are pro choice they are more likely going to be a democrat
