Well, just to put your mind at ease, I agree completely with Jill's assessment of Robertson BECAUSE I am a devoted Christian who hates the shame Robertson brings on the name of the One I love. AND I think terrorist are cowardly, evil, murdering, filthy creatures that I wish had never been born.

In Haiti’s capital Port-au-Prince today you can see an iron pig statue. It commemorates the ritual of the African religion Americans today call Voodoo conducted by Boukman on August 14, 1791.
A pig on that day was ritually killed. The escaped slaves joined in drinking its still-warm blood as part of a pact. Boukman led his followers in vowing that they and their children would serve the pagan gods of the island, including the devil, for exactly 200 years in exchange for freedom from the French.
I guess someone forgot to tell the devil that the 200 years are up.
Pat Robertson is an evil, hateful, despicable excuse for excrement, let alone a human being.
Pat Robertson quotes from the past:
"You say you're supposed to be nice to the Episcopalians and the Presbyterians and the Methodists and this, that, and the other thing. Nonsense, I don't have to be nice to the spirit of the Antichrist. I can love the people who hold false opinions but I don't have to be nice to them." 1991
"Individual Christians are the only ones really---and Jewish people, those who trust God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob--are the only ones that are qualified to have the reign, because hopefully, they will be governed by God and submit to Him." 1985
"The feminist agenda is not about equal rights for women. It is about a socialist, anti-family political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism, and become lesbians." 1992
"Just like what Nazi Germany did to the Jews, so liberal America is now doing to the evangelical Christians. It's no different. It is the same thing. It is happening all over again. It is the Democratic Congress, the liberal-based media and the homosexuals who want to destroy the Christians. Wholesale abuse and discrimination and the worst bigotry directed toward any group in America today. More terrible than anything suffered by any minority in history." 1993
"There can be no unity between Christianity and other religions listed, because they do not believe that Jesus Christ is 'the truth' and the only way to be reconciled with God." 1992
"If anybody understood what Hindus really believe, there would be no doubt that they have no business administering government policies in a country that favors freedom and equality." from his book "The New World Order"
"[Islam] is not a peaceful religion that wants to coexist. They want to coexist until they can control, dominate and then if need be destroy." 2002
Not surprised by anything that comes out of his "clueless" mouth. I'm just very surprised anyone donates money
to this charlatan
The political event, TC, the political event. Something happened in Haiti's history. Whether I agree with Pat Robertson or not is irrelevant. I just want to know what he's referring to for him to make such a blatantly ridiculous remark.
It's really not that hard to understand.
The "political event" notwithstanding, the guy is talking about "pacts with the devil" as having some sort of connection to this quake.
That's freaking insane stuff. The guy is an absolute fruitcake,
I'm saying that Pat Robertson is clearly referring to some sort of political event that caused Haiti to do what he refers to as a "pact with the Devil."
I have a sneaking suspicion that you folks believe that he belives that a "literal" pact with the Devil was made. From what I can tell, he's referring to a political event.
So yes, I want to know what political event he is referring to. I like history. I'm intelligent like that. You should try it sometime.
Ask Pat Robertson. He is the one who made the accusation. He should have explained it.
Any of you old enough to remember the character that played the head devil worshiper in "Rosemary's Baby"? Doesn't Pat kind of look like that guy?
