Well they certainly don't control their governments or people. In Arabic countires there are American troops too, that doesn't mean the locals hate them, unless if they started war then there will be hate.

The US, General McArthur personally, wrote the Japanese Constitution. We had a HUGE say in the government of postwar Japan. The Emperor was only allowed to remain because the US allowed him to.
All the allied powers had a say in the government of postwar Germany.. The Soviets created their sphere in East Germany.

Yah he did, but that does not mean they occupied the country.

Exactly but they did not have their own soldiers roaming the streets.

Uh, yes, the US occupied Japan and Germany for a VERY long time. The US only stopped its occupation of Berlin in the late 1990s.. They absolutely patrolled the streets for years after the war ended, and the US still has bases all over Germany, and in Japan, with soldiers all over the place...
THe US used to have a huge naval base in the Phillipines. The Us occupied the phillipines for decades, and you don't see the Filipinos hating Americans.

The US have bases in a lot of countries, they just want to maintain an indirect control to keep their influence strong and i respect that, it better than having China replacing the U.S.
Well if you live in America there would be a very high chance that you are not an native american and it is likely if you are an American your ansestors invaded the natives regions and took over their land. Conquest of land has happened all over the world and no nation has ever been immune to that. Even Palestine was invaded by the Arabs and many Arabs from the Islamic conquest settled there when it was occupied by them.
Anyway Israel is here to stay, and despite what happened in 1948, the damage is done and u cant undo so called damage happened there then and give the whole land back to the Palestinians and force the Jews back where there ansestors came from such as Europe, just as you cant unscramble an scrambled egg.
I know it is a mess that is hard to clean up, but I don't think it gets any better the way it is now.
By the way, Palestinians are not really Arabs, they came a long time ago from Mediterranean, probably Greek islands...
You think secular jews are going to want to live in a sh ariah state?
Actually, that is the advantage of a joint state, they would have to find a compromise regarding their constitution, a smallest common denominator so to speak, paving the way for a secular version of Islam rather than the crazy one.
