You support ANY solution? What about single-payer?
It takes care of rising costs and it offers a lot of savings. No need to have all these middle men and people pushing paper around.
No, not single payer. OK, I should not have said ANY solution. I would listen to any proposal, and then pick the best one.
The current bill had good bi-partisan stuff in it, like removal of caps, removal of pre-existing conditions and nationawide exchange. All good stuff, but maybe they could be voted on separatly. Nothing wrong with that, is there.

Single payer coverage is not government run health CARE...it's government run health INSURANCE. Care is very good in this country. Coverage is terrible...
Look to the UK. They have government a government run health system = care and insurance. They do not have single payer insurance or a "Medicare for all" type coverage. The doctors are actually on the government payroll. I'm not in favor of that type of system and it has never been proposed by any members of congress.
You do realize that a single payer coverage could cost Americans 50% less than the beating businesses and consumers are currently taking from private insurance companies.

In France they pay 4 times the amount of taxes and Germans pay 3 times the amount of taxes. Like I said, those services aren't free. You are paying for it in one manner or another.
Where do I get that 11.9%. With property tax I pay nearly 50% here.

I'd rather pay for healthcare through taxes than through private premiums. With the former there are no deductibles, no co-pays, no ceilings, no pre-existing condition exclusions, and if you are out of work or change employers you are still covered.
Get used to news like that. Unless the Dems get something done on Health Ins., there will be more and more of that kind of news. I say the Dems, because it is obvious the Repubs will take no part in any solution.
You're SO right. The Dems hold meetings without Republicans input, they ignore their ideas, and vilify them at every turn.
And what would you have the Dems do for health insurance - give healthcare to everyone on my dime? No thanks.
All subsidies for employees should end yesterday, to avoid the moral hazard of seeking employment just to get tax deductible group coverage.
