*Former Senator & Attorney General John Ashcroft (R- MO)
His son, Andy, is in the Navy and has served in the GulF in support of the Afghanistan and Iraq Wars.
This is a little known fact, because Ashcroft did not want to bring unwanted attention to his son and of course the left-leaning media never did a story on it, because that would hurt their agenda of hurting him.

How did you come to the conclusion that politicians have a higher number of kids serving than the general public?

Good post! I always thought the senators would prevent their children from joining or at least put them on paper-pusher positions. I respect them more if they voted for something and had something at stake!

What???

I said a "higher percentage" of U.S. Politician's sons have served in the Iraq or Afghanistan Wars.

Less than 1 percent of the U.S. Population has served in Iraq.

"While veterans of World War II represented 12 percent of the U.S. population, less than 1 percent of the current population has served in Iraq and Afghanistan."
