Let's see... over the past few years I've bought, sold and traded numerous vehicles.
1928 Ford Roadster (granted, it was a frankencar...)
1993 Mazda Mx3 (still one of my favorites)
1993 Toyota 4Runner
1982 Datsun/nissan Pickup
1993 Ford F-350
1998 Saturn SC2
1989 Toyota Celica
And I'm sure I'm forgetting a few...
Right now, I have a 2008 Kia Spectra5, a 1993 Honda Del Sol and a 2003 Honda S2000.
I'm an Independent that leans social liberal, fiscal conservative.
My parents have:
2 Toyota Yaris (Yarii?)
Nissan Maxima (280,000 miles and still running strong)
Toyota 4Runner
Toyota Tacoma PreRunner
My mom is a liberal Democrat, my dad is an ultra conservative Republican. My dad is also an ASE certified Master Tech and it's very interesting looking at the cars/trucks his coworkers drive. Most are not American made big 3...most are in fact Toyotas.

2003 VW "New Beetle"
This is my girlfriend's car, but the one we drive the most. It gets the best mileage, it's peppy and it's easy to drive. There's a lot about it that I don't like, though, and I would never have bought it myself.
2002 Chevy Astro
This is mine, but we usually only drive it when we need the space or towing capacity. It's a money pit, though. I've put more into it in three years just to keep it on the road than I've put into the Jeep in seven, including upgrades and off-road abuse.
1998 Jeep TJ (Wrangler)
The toy. I've had it for about 7 years and have put less than 20k miles on it. Bought specifically for off-roading, but I occasionally take it just for fun. I put the Safari (summer) Top on it yesterday.
We're currently looking for a new project car, but until we have a garage we're stuck .
Give me a few months and you'll be looking at the proud owner of yet another hunk-a-junk
My long term plan is to make my own car. I found loop hole to get it on the road Not saying how. Then I'm going to put in a really big engine, well 1.5L and four turbos in a V-8 10,000 rpm and 4 bar boost. Hmm. In a 1,200lbs curb weigth car that should move!!! Long term that is my plan. Getting a job is the starting point.
P.S. my curent car is a 1982 diesle rabit. Not fast enough to wory about crash ratings
