I've owned Chevy's, GMCs, Fords, Olds, Dodges, Dodge Brothers, Toyotas, Hondas, VWs, Mazdas, and Jaguars vehicles, Ford, Oliver, Farmall and Ferguson tractors, as well as Bridgestone, Yamaha, Suzuki and Polaris motorbikes. I haven't voted for a Democrat for anything in forty years so I guess that makes me at least a moderate.
There may be some political pattern in my automotive ownership but I fail to see it.
American-built Toyota Sienna minivan, six years old, runs like it was new.
'66 Mustang, modified to be a convertable with manual clothtop, 302 V8, Edelbrock (read: Carter) carb, C4 auto.
Trek 7500 bicycle, modified with 1000W electric motor, 30mph, 40 mile range, 25 miles without pedaling. After riding it 25 miles, costs 12 cents to recharge the battery. That's the cost equivalent of 600 mpg of gasoline, except it has zero emissions.
Conservative.
That's the same bike I have. Is it easy to add an electric motor, or a difficult modification?
Anyway, I'm independent (distributist/left-leaning economically, right-leaning socially) and drive a 2000 Chevy Malibu and a Trek 7500 bicycle.
