Only 53% of American adults believe capitalism is better than socialism.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that 20% disagree and say socialism is better. Twenty-seven percent (27%) are not sure which is better.
Adults under 30 are essentially evenly divided: 37% prefer capitalism, 33% socialism, and 30% are undecided. Thirty-somethings are a bit more supportive of the free-enterprise approach with 49% for capitalism and 26% for socialism.Adults over 40 strongly favor capitalism, and just 13% of those older Americans believe socialism is better.
Hmmm...let's see. Under 30, means fresh out of college, only in the 'professional' workforce for at most 6 years, not heavily invested in the market and/or retirement plans. OVER 40...seasoned, in the 'professional' workforce for at least 15 years. Heavily invested in the market through 401k's, IRA's, Retirement/Mutual funds, Bonds, etc. On average have children in upper elementary grades to middle school, and make the avg. income for the U.S.
Now, is it easier to understand that cherry-picked, misleading information that the OP is intending to portray as a harbinger of doom for our country? Nuff said.

So you agree that most people who work, earn a good wage, and participate and benefit from capitalism support it, while people who don't have much, don't earn much, and aren't much invested support a system which rewards them regardless of output?

I don't see it that way. The OP is not trying to predict doom. She's trying to incite hatred for people she doesn't agree with.
