How does that make you female Obamatrons feel? I've always heard that "you are the company that you keep." So, does this change your perception of Obama, or do you still relentlessly take up for this chump?

We live in a fallen depraved world when this is what we accept as "leadership"....

Who was that other pagan democrat who defended the porn industry and was appointed by Obama?

I totally agree with her. Restricting abortion DOES reduce us to mere fetal containers.

Quote:
Abortion restrictions "reduce pregnant women to no more than fetal containers."
Absolutely.

Quote:
The argument that women who become pregnant have in some sense consented to the pregnancy belies reality... and others who are the inevitable losers in the contraceptive lottery no more 'consent' to pregnancy than pedestrians 'consent' to being struck by drunk drivers.
Agree.

Thanks, newtoli. The quotes were ascribing views to the anti-abortion forces, not stating the views of the speaker.

So this is typical wingnut insanity. What is wrong with you people?

OP, did you even read the full quotes?

If so, how exactly did you think her statements would conflict with any pro-choice woman's views?

I disagree. She is ascribing HER OWN views of the anti-abortion forces, which by extension could be the views of Obama himself.

It would be a colossal mistake to believe that all female voters are pro-choice. Afterall, hasn't it been the liberal rally call that more conservatives than ever voted for Democrat Obama? So yes, I would reconcile that this type of language would offend quite a few pro-life female Obama voters.

California Catholic Daily - “Fetal containers” (http://www.calcatholic.com/news/newsArticle.aspx?id=1ec331d7-c96d-46df-aa53-08141775972c - broken link)
Here are the quotes:

Abortion restrictions 'reduce pregnant women to no more than fetal containers. The context makes a world of difference, no?

The argument that women who become pregnant have in some sense consented to the pregnancy belies reality... and others who are the inevitable losers in the contraceptive lottery no more 'consent' to pregnancy than pedestrians 'consent' to being struck by drunk drivers. You have better things to do than distort other people's views. She's obviously arguing against the view that sex=pregnancy consent. C'mon... do better.

Taken out of context, as usual. Dawn Johnsen's comments were that RESTRICTIONS ON ABORTIONS reduce women to no more than "fetal containers". For those of us that are pro choice, her comments echo our perspective that women should not be forced by legislation to have a child when they choose not to for reasons of their own. Women should have control of their own bodies and this includes their uterus.

Her comment as the the "inevitable losers in the contraceptive lottery "is referencing those who became pregnant even while using contraception.

Neither comment is radical or new and her views are shared by many.

Ok, now how exactly did you think her views would somehow insult supporters of Obama?

She's not saying all women are fetal containers.

She's saying we are forced into being nothing more than a fetal container when we are forced to birth under restrictive abortion laws.

And you thought this would insult female Obama supporters how?

That's the problem... he doesn't think much... just read a headline and spit it back out.
