I guess someone hasn't noticed how poorly incumbents have been fairing, in recent days.

I didn't think you were serious. She likely will soon receive a notice if it has not already happened. If it is indeed true that she did not yet pay the remainder of her property taxes and it was an oversight it should be quickly rectified. If it was intentional, which I doubt, that is another story and would be worthy of a thread.

If in fact she is late, she will pay a late fee.

In our county we do not get dunned. If they are past due the charges just ad up until the property is sold by the county.

Some people lost their home this way. Wife paid the bills. Hubby worked. Wife began going to the casino. The taxes were not paid for two years.

Then one day as he was leaving for work, a man put a letter on their door that the house will be sold for back taxes.

It was more money than they could come up with.

If this was a betting forum, I'd give 10-1 odds both Bachmann and Peterson get re-elected.

Voting no on every bailout is representing the majority of voters in their districts.

Default just the facts, no editorializing

The results page doesn't lend itself to copy/paste so here's a screenshot of her bill. Page updated yesterday. It's also being reported in the local newspaper Bachmann late on property tax payment « Minnesota Independent: News. Politics. Media.

Thanks for the screen shot of the tax bill. According to what you posted it is actually the first installment of her 2010 tax bill. OP's title states 2009 tax bill?

Being from the same general area, I can say it sounds low - though I don't live in Washington County. Her arrears are about where my property taxes were 6 or 7 yrs ago, though mine are still under 4k.

We don't have a mansion though, just a nice, plump, 4-bedroom, in the NW metro.

I'm not much of a gambler - not in real life, anyway. I'll take the sure-shot, every time (thanks Beasties). Just stating fact - incumbents are not doing well, at the moment.

If I were a gambler (one with a lot of cash) - I'd bet on the Twins, who are quickly proving that the Mongodome wasn't their only advantage.
