Exactly. This is Obama's war and we will never win.

I guess all the anti war protesters go into hiding when a socialist gets elected.

We should get out of Afghanistan NOW! It is impossible to win a war there.

Both Iran and Afghanistan are proof that the idiot sheeple will be worried about whatever the media tells us to be worried about. Bush is basically the anti-Christ because of his endless moronic wars that accomplish nothing but giving terrorists something to shoot at in their own country, and Obama gets hired due to the this backlash, continues the idiocy TIMES TWO, and not a peep out of the media.

The OP is exactly correct to point this out, and it's been said 100 times before on these forums. The media tells the sheeple what to think, and the sheeple have no memory beyond the last TV "6:00 news" show.

I'd like one of the defenders of the endless foreign wars to answer this question: "What constitutes WINNING in either Iraq or Afghanistan?"

I guess you missed it - these wars suddenly became "bad" to certain "conservatives", after the dems took over...

I think it's hysterical that people who predicted that Obama would fail at everything he attempts seem to have so much invested in his win/loss ratio. *chuckles*

See if you can get this...

Afghanistan should have been wrapped up several years ago.

Somebody dropped the ball.

I just read that the new British government is now pushing for a fast withdrawal of their troops from Afghanistan, that must be bad news for the US administration.

Every other country (except the United States) that has troops in Afghanistan wants their soldiers out of harms way. It's a deeply unpopular mission and there is precious little incentive for anyone other than the U.S. to have troops there.

Even though this war is far more doomed than Vietnam ever was, as long as it drags out, then more and more billions can be made every year.

Think of someone telling you that you are not going to get your billion dollars defense subsidy next year and we will not be needing your services. The U.S. spends so much on "defense" every year (including private contractors) that there wont be an end to U.S. involvement, but other countries see a quagmire that cannot have a successful conclusion.
