In YOUR opinion the AZ law is going against the interests of our country, un-American. Others think it is unconstitutional and therefore un-American. It will eventually end up in the Supreme Court to see which side is right.
Can you please tell me EXACTLY what is unconstitutional about the law?
DUI checkpoints stop everyone and are constitutional. Stopping people because they "look" illegal is not which is the way the law as first written before it got tweaked. Time will tell whether or not the tweak was enough to make it constitutional, won't it.
That is NOT what the law says. It states that if someone is stopped because of say speeding they can be asked to produce proof of residency. They can NOT be stopped just because they look a certain way. There has to be just cause to stop them, in other words they have done something WRONG.
Ghazal Tajmiri of the National Immigration Law Center, who is suing AZ over their new laws says it law is unconstitutional.

How can it be unconstitutional if it doesn't do anything that the federal law doesn't?
Roy, you act like you're surprised that the new AZ law is dividing our country. How is showing support for an idea you believe in embarrassing or un-American as others have said? Or have the rights to free speech suddenly been revoked from members of congress? The president of Mexico is here to work on mutual problems to do with the drug cartel, border violence and curbing illegal immigration. I would think those are issues we could all get behind instead of nitpicking a standing ovation.
The new AZ law is only dividing the far left hussein obamabaggers from the resty of the sane people in this country. ALL the polls show that the MAJORITY of the country overwhelmingly support what AZ did. The Democrat congress has shown time and time agan that they will do all they can to work against America, have no respect for America or it's citizens. They are a cesspool of traitors.
