I have tried getting some info (search) on CD, pertaining to Vero Beach and Sebastian......without getting anything I was looking for.
Some of the CD peeps are familiar with my story......lol....and what a ride is has been.
We are currently located (in rent) in Stuart, and looking into re-locating to either Vero or Sebastian area. (I will be transferred to Vero Beach with work, and my husband hopes to find a job in the Restaurant business up there)
We are looking into renting a house for the next several years or so....
My questions:
Which areas to consider, to be/ live in (good neighborhoods) and which areas to stay away from?
How's the job market (restaurant biz) up there...any chances at all for employment?
Is the so called "life style" really a bit slower versus PSL and Stuart?
If we do consider buying a home again.....what are we looking at concerning taxes and HOI?
There's still enough time for us to make a decision on which one to chose between Vero and Sebastian, do some more homework on WHERE/ which area to move to.
Moving/ transfer with my job will be the end of January.
I would really appreciate, if someone currently living there or very familiar with the areas in question, could post, or pm me.
Thanks so much, any and every info is greatly appreciated!

The restaurant buisness is alive and thriving in Vero Beach. And yes, lifestyle will be more than a bit slower than PSL and Stuart. Is this a good thing for you? When you're ready to buy, the further west you go, the cheaper the HOI. Check for flood zones and buy newer construction if possible. Newer construction will meet all current hurricane codes and should get you better rates on your insurance. Taxes are what they are. They're based on your purchase price.

You will find cheaper rentals and real estate prices in Sebastian but you'll always be driving to Vero for your entertainment and mall needs. Either Sebastian or Vero are good places to live. Welcome!

Sorry....couldn't respond any sooner
Thank's for the info!
As for the lifestyle being slower...YES, YES, YES....that's EXACTLY what we are looking for!
We can't wait to re-locate up there, and are actively looking into house rentals at the moment, to get the move in order and completed by the end of January.
Again, thank you so much for the info!

sebastian is a very slow paced community. it is safe but there is not a lot to do for entertainment. i do not think that there is a bad area in sebastian but i would personally stay away from the schumann drive area. that has always been the worst part of sebastian.
