maybe I should just buy lots of cans of spray deodorant and spray it all over my whole body, instead of just my pits

In the summer I am actually drier than in winter because in summer I (can) wear less clothing. Fresh sweat should have no odor. Americans are sweat obsessed and I know of people who have two showers every day and they are not bike commuters. The logistics of municipal showering facilities for cyclists are simply unworkable. Period. Water is very precious. If any of you out there presently take more than one shower per day I would implore you to cease the practice. Its no good for your skin and needlessly depletes precious fresh water. Spray deodorant is next to the worst thing one can do to their body. The worst thing is to deprive it of chocolate, but that is another thread.

If it's hot in the summer while biking, I just take it slower to not work up as much sweat.

If you are really concerned about being too sweaty in the summer, plan to arrive about 15 or 20 minutes early for work. This gives you enough time for a cool-down where you can walk to a coffee shop and grab a drink, cool off in a/c before you wipe down and change. This helped me out when I had a long commute in 90-100 degree heat (and high humidity) and no access to a shower. Don't do the spray-deo all over the body...instead, if you are getting really sweaty, bring some of the moist towelettes. They work better.

Well somebody reminded me in this thread that exercise sweat by itself is rather clean and odorless, so as long as I shower before, and then wear clean clothes on top of it, there should be no BO problems (after a wipedown at the destination of course).
