I personally use a chiropractor for most our family's needs (including pregnancy and newborn care and advice) however I like having a ped at hand.

A big concern is a "sick entrance." I like if they have a special room/entrance for sick kids that is seperate from those getting a "check up."

Never had a ped for my children....never felt the need! I think if you want any advice on parenting ,or the health of your child, you'd do best talking to someone else who's had kids.A family doctor is usually all you'll need, and if you're pro-active in your own health care you'll be telling HIM what you need.
