I have not read the entire thread so sorry if anyone else has posted this.
I have very bad allergies and take a year round antihistamine. However there are many other medicinations on the market that can "dry" a woman up like anti-depressants. When I am ready to get pregnant I have to take Robitussin or Mucinex. I know it sounds crazy but the anti-histamines dry out your sinuses but they also dry out other "areas" that need to be habitable for sperm. The expectorant, Guaifenesin, is what I need. It helps to "liquify" areas that the anti-histamine is drying up.
When my hubby and I first met with my dr. about getting pregnant he made an off handed remark about drinking robitussin. I hate the stuff and was like whatever. He never explained the reason because we were leaving to check out. However, after 3 months of trying and not getting pregnant I googled "robitussin and trying to conceive" and found out the reason. It never hurts to try. Good Luck!
FYI: I have my first child at 31 and my last one at 37.
Age 30 had my first one with 4 months of trying (had a miscarriage before that).
Age 32 had my second one with the very first try. My husband was a little bummed he wasn't afforded more 'practice' time in trying for our second.
