I think we should wait and see how this season goes before we make such declarative statements.
I agree. The Colts have a great WR core and good backs. As long as they have a decent QB, like Collins, they should be okay. Collins, obviously, is not a long term solution but I think the Colts can win 10 with him at the helm.

10 games? I think that may be a bit too optimistic... The reason I say that is the way the Offensive Line has played. IF and that's a big IF, they pass protect and run block better, yes Collins will do well. BUT, if they play like they did last couple of years, Collins will get sacked alot and they won't run the ball well just like the last couple of seasons. The reason Manning wasn't sacked that much is because of his quick release which Collins does not have, he tends to hold on to the ball a bit longer. Bottom line, the O line needs to pick it up to improve the running game and give the QB time. The RBs are only as good as the line unless you have Barry Sanders which they don't have.
When the end of his career arrives, whether it is today or a few years from now, I predict that he will be the most sought after offensive coordinator in the history of the NFL.
I'm still rooting for the Colts even with Kerry at the helm. But, I doubt they will be the perrenial power house that they have been without Manning.

What does this season have to do with my statement? Do you not think that this team was built to win with Manning as the QB? From the types of WRs they brought in to the offensive line to the running backs. It was all about Manning.
And I'm not saying that was a bad thing as it was obviously pretty successful.

Manning is essentially the de facto offensive coordinator of the team now anyway, and has been for quite some time.
