I don't believe in jinxes or superstitions, but I find it entertaining to listen to those who do.
My former husband was a Giants fan . Anyway, he had this pair of Giants boxer shorts and this one particular football season he kept asking me on Fridays if those shorts were washed and ready for Sunday. Of course they were, but I couldn't understand why since he was very supersitious and the Giants seemed to keep losing. Finally, I asked him why he kept wanting the shorts since his team was stinking up the joint and he said, "well the Giants keep losing, but my fantasy team keeps winning".
That being said, I think it's going to take a little more than a couple burnt towels to stop the Bengals this season.

The steelers lost today in kansas city to a 1-8 team in OT by a final score of 27-24. Pitts is now 6-4 & kc is 2-8. All i can say is WTF!
