With all the upheaval going on with the organization the last couple days, there is one personnel matter that needs to be addressed-soon.

In today's Post there is a great article on Champ Bailey. And Champ is laying it on the line with his comments. Mr. Bowlen and Joe Ellis need to resolve this situation. This deal was close to getting done regarding a contract extension and then the Broncos pulled it off the table about a month ago.

He's 32 years old. After his groin injury people thought he lost a step, maybe two steps. His performance against Duane Bowe of the Chiefs in the game Sunday was awesome. Bowe was invisible. And what a tackle Champ made on that cornerback blitz on Matt Cassell. Textbook.

I put Bailey on the level with the best current and the best past defensive backs of the NFL. And after reading today's article with his involvement in the community with the poor and homeless, what he learned early in life, well he's a champ in my book.

A solid pro-on and off the field. That's Champ Bailey.

Champ Bailey is a super good guy, like one of my old Redskins faves, Darrell Green.

Good wiki article on Darell. Yep, active in a lot of organizations and charities.

And as a player, 7 time probowler, 4 time All-pro, played to age 42. Fastest man in the NFL. One thing I didn't notice in wiki, when the NFL Channel came out with the top 100 players in NFL history, Green comes in at #75. When Champ's career is over, he'll be in there as well. Guaranteed.
