Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was arrested in Houston late Friday night and charged with resisting arrest.
According to HPD data, Peterson remains in the city jail waiting to post, or be released on $1,000 bond. The listed offense is “resisting arrest/search unclassified.”
No other details were immediately available.
Peterson, a native of Palestine in East Texas and former tailback for the University of Oklahoma, is recovering from a knee injury he suffered last Christmas Eve that required reconstructive surgery.
Just an FYI here, particularly for users who do not frequent the football forum on a steady basis. As previously noted in one of the "stickies", team threads are set up in the football forums for fans of teams to compare notes on recent draft picks, player trades, injury reports, and other related team business. Users who aren't fans of those clubs can post so long as they know the parameters that are set up here. In other words, snarky and insulting comments, be it with the club or the player(s), get removed immediately. And I look closely at football posts that aren't on the team threads also.

I really hope there is more to this story. I thought AP was way too level-headed to be this much of a knucklehead to get arrested over something stupid.
