Chiefs suspend Marcus Peters for throwing officials' flag into stands against the Jets which was a stupid act by Peters.

Andy Reid taking some heat in the press because technically they can still win the division. Marcus Peters is one of their better defensive players, they have a big game this weekend.

I get why Reid did this, you cannot let one player be a distraction or held to a different standard because you need him in a game.

Andy Reid is also on the hot seat. Leading the AFC West to collapsing completely is an embarrassment. If the collapse continues and the Chiefs miss the postseason, Reid takes the heat and his baggage out of Kansas City.

I agree Reid may be on hot seat....but they may let him get another year and probably will put Mahomes as QB next year. Smith will get picked up by a team.

What's going on with Hunt and Hill? Are they getting less carries or defenses keying in on them and stopping them?

The Chiefs broke their losing streak by beating the Raiders at Arrowhead. While they looked a bit better it might just be fool's gold as the Raiders were really bad. Saturday night will be the real tell as to whether the Chiefs have finally got their stuff together. The Chargers come to Arrowhead playing like the best team in the AFC west. If the Chiefs don't tighten up their offense and find a way to touchdowns instead of field goals they will lose to the Chargers. The Chiefs defense has to figure out a way to keep pressure on Rivers or he will pick them apart. I can't honestly pick the Chiefs to win this game but their entire season and hopes for winning the west rest on them finding a way to victory.
On a positive note Kareem Hunt reached the 1000+ yards rushing for the season mark against the Raiders. He is the first rookie since Joe Delaney to do this for the Chiefs.

The Chiefs brought their A- game Saturday night and wound up dominating the Chargers when Phillip Rivers turned into Phyllis Rivers and started tossing picks due to the Chiefs defense applying pressure. The Chiefs still settled for too many field goals when in the red zone but the much improved defense was just too much for the Chargers to handle. Coupled with a resurgence of the O-line blocking better and Kareem Hunt returning to early season form, 206 yards from scrimmage, the Chargers just couldn't compete. A note to the Chargers coaching staff; even if its 3rd and 2 you still never leave Tyreek Hill one on one with a corner with no safety help over the top. With Tyreek the old adage of " if hes even hes leaven" has never been more correct, and 65 yards later the Chargers found that out. TOUCHDOWN KAN-SA CITY!
I think I heard that if Travis Kelce gets over 9 yards against the Dolphins next week the Chiefs will have 3 1000+ yard weapons this year. Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill, and Kareem Hunt. If the Chiefs have truly figured things out and gotten themselves out of their funk they might just be the playoff team no one wants to face. Of course I've heard that tune many times before with way too many one and done playoff appearances in their history for me to place much stock in it.

Congrats Chiefs on winning the AFC West title for the 2nd year in a row! Hopefully they’ve recaptured the fire that they had early in the season.

Even with their mid-season slump the Chiefs have become only the 2nd team in NFL history with a 4000+ yard passer, 2 1000+ yard receivers, and a 1000+ yard rusher.
First time in team history the Chiefs have won back to back AFC west titles.

Then I guess the 2004 Broncos were the first: Plummer 4,089 yards, Smith at Lelie both with 1,000+ receiving yards and Ruben Drones with 1,204 rushing yards. That team went 10-6 but got smoked by the Colts in the playoffs.

Saw Reid did is post game dressed as Santa. Well played. The o lay way to top that is if Bill Belichick did his dressed as the Grinch!

Well I think I messed up the specifics of the record. It should have been 4000+ yard QB, 1000+ yard receiver, 1000+ yard tight end, and 1000+ yard running back. the only other team to do that was the '81 Chargers.
Sorry, my bad

If time allows me I will look up how many teams might fit the bill of 4000+ QB, 1000+ rusher and 2 1000+ receivers. I would think not many.
