Looks like another big retailer is making its way to Durham. The article says it will take up the old space formely occupied by Linens N' Things across from southpoint mall.

"Nordstrom Inc. will locate its first North Carolina Nordstrom Rack store at the Renaissance Center in Durham, the Seattle-based retail giant announced Monday....Nordstrom Rack sells merchandise at prices 50 percent to 60 percent off original Nordstrom prices. The new Durham location is scheduled to open in fall 2010."

Excellent. The Rack has an excellent selection of shoes, shirts, and ties/accessories.

Man between this and H&M coming to Crabtree, with OffSaks right in RDU...we've got the cornerstones of the bargain industry right in our backyard!

I'm very happy to hear about The Rack!! I'm not a huge shopper but how can you not love Nordies. They are just so stinkin' great at customer service. But my wallet loves The Rack more. Can't wait!!!

This isn't the first nordstrom's. There's one right across the street at Southpoint.
