This is some of the best advice my dad gave me. When my husband and I were house hunting we saw a home on a Friday morning and it seemed like a quiet place. We came back on Saturday afternoon and it was a totally different story. There were seriously like 40 kids in the street riding bikes and running through people's yards. That kind of enviroment would have been aweful for us but yet for others that would have been great. . A second look is always a good idea.

I know someone who lived at Six Forks Station and he liked it. But was only there for a year.

You may want to check out two other complexes near where you're looking. One is the Mayfaire apartments right near Lead Mine & Old Lead Mine Rds, right next to the Greystone shopping area.

The other is the Apartments at Stonehenge, which is right near the Harris Teeter shopping area on Creedmoor and Sawmill Rds. You can walk there easily.

I asked a police officer about crime at the Stonehenge apts. because a friend is moving there from out of state and he said, "You don't have a thing to worry about in that area."

The worst thing that could happen is you won't like the place you choose, but in a year you can move out. That's not so bad.
best,
toodie
