For the most part, the HD channels are ok with u-verse, but when I was watching some sports recently (final 4 mbb), the picture was absolutely terrible with any action. My TV is a top of the line plasma, not even 6 months old. I was wondering if any other u-verse subscribers have noticed bad hd picture quality also? It seems like time warner cable was much clearer watching sports games.

yep, that's uverse's downfall. ATT uses very heavy compression on their signal.

welcome to TV over IP. i chuckle when i read stuff from folks ready to jump from dish/cable. dish is by far the best PQ. cable suffers some of the same compression artifacts as u-verse, but not nearly as badly.
