It's a large area. More information on where they'll be working and how long a commute they want plus desired budget would help.
Agreed. Tell us where this job is located (a street name or nearby landmark would suffice) and plenty of the people here can pass along recommendations that will offer the best price/commute time/amenities, etc.
Thanks everyone for all your suggestions! These are the apartment complexes they have decided to look at. Does anyone have any feedback I can give them?

I'm a Real Estate Agent, as you can see from my "status". I help buyers buy their homes and I help sellers sell their homes. I have no more knowledge of apts. in this area than SaturnFan (who acutally knows more about apts. than I do) or librarysue.
It has nothing to do with making money...it is not what I do. Why don't you (anyone reading this) take people around and show them apts? You'd have as much expertise as I do. Why don't painters or plumbers do it? It isn't their job.
Renting is the job of property managers. Yes, there are a few rentals in MLS and I do know that some Agents will try to help those that want to rent a house or a private townhouse by sending them these listings. I have done this myself.
However, driving someone around to look at apts. is not my field of expertise. There are magazines available with rentals available and there are property management companies that deal with this sort of thing. And, there are property managers that are Real Estate Agents too, so maybe that is why some think that Real Estate Agents show apartments?

Thanks for the compliment, Vicki. I think you're a great realtor too.
