KHovnanian build a budget home-- as large as possible on the smallest possible lot. There are better quality builders out there. You might check what other builders are working in Stonegate.

I would call that very accurate regarding KHovnanian - that they specialize in the largest volume/square footage house as the value they provide. As far as schools, we are very unsettled here, and Stonegate/that area of Wake Forest or Wake County are a good example.

The subdivision itself attends 2 different elementary schools and 2 different middle schools. One elementary is year round, the other is traditional. The traditional school is NOT an option for any newcomers, it appears.

In general, Wake County schools are very good. Schools in more rural areas - like this area of Wake Forest/Wake County - are only improving as incoming residents with higher educational backgrounds and aspirations move in.

I'm pretty sure Forever Homes is the builder there now. There are a couple homes for sale that KHov did, but now it's FH. I looked the other day. I didn't see anything outrageously wrong, but I would do more research if I thought it would work for us.
