I'm looking for suggestions about where people think most apartment complexes are doing their advertising. I've been following craigslist but am starting to see that its pretty much the same group of complexes that advertise there.

Any one want to offer their opinion about what I should be looking at print or online to get exposure to the most apartments ? You know, you drive some place and see some complex and it will dawn on me that I've never seen their ads and I must be missing a lot more. I've browsed apartmentratings.com but god, thats a scary site Everybody hates big time on their apartment there.

There are a few large apt. management companies like Drucker and Falk that have their own websites. Most of them have phone numbers you can even call! Seems like we do so much online that we forget that we can CALL to ask questions!

Best of luck!

I used Rent.com and actually got a reward card from them several times. Apartmentratings is rather scary, but don't forget that a) people mostly compelled to write there if their experience is negative; b) quality of life within the same complex largely depends on the specific unit.

We lived in the same complex for several years but when we moved to the end unit on the upper floor with decent neighbors on both remaining sides it was like night and day.

Some local realty companies are also turning toward the rental market now.
