After all these weeks of blistering heat it sure felt nice to wake up to 64 degrees! Really feels like fall this morning! I'm going to the Flea Market since I have kept away in recent weeks due to the heat.

Anybody know where I can find some good Apple Cider? I love having that stuff in the house during the fall!

Yes!! I turned on the tv this morning to see a local reading of 54 degrees on News 14...I left those windows open last night to bask in the autumnal breeze. Finally!!

You can usually find some at the State Farmers' Market.

THIS is what we moved here for! We didn't move here for work. We didn't move here to cash out on a house. We didn't move here because the Triangle was the "in" place to be.

We moved here to get 4 seasons, moderate weather, and be 4 hours from the mountains and 3 hours from the beach. My wife just made reservations for us to spend the weekend in a cabin near Boone in mid-October

it was heavenly - I cycled with a girlfriend out in Wake Forest - saw wild turkeys, shelton ponies during out route. It was an absolutely beautiful day with a little wind kicking up and the blue skies . .feels like heaven!

I took the dog for a 2 hour walk today and his paw pads didn't blister from the hot sidewalks!

My guess is that he meant to say Shetland Ponies which is a small breed of ponies.

We went to the outdoor dining area by Dominic's Pizza and watched the fish swim in the pond during dinner.
