I'm new to the area and need dermatologist, endocrinologist, gp suggestions.

Also, is anyone here from the triangle, a member of the pcos site Soulcysters.com ? Do they have local chapters?

Where are you in the Triangle? For dermatologists there is Audrey Echt in North Raleigh on Raven Ridge and Cary Dermatology in Cary on Cary Parkway. I have used both and had good experiences with both. Hope this helps.

Default I know of a great dermatologist in Raleigh

His office is off of Barrett drive from Six Forks. I can't remember his name right this second. He is highly recommended!

WOW! Thanks for the fast response.

I"m in Durham, but don't mind traveling anywhere in the triangle area for the right doctor. It's hard finding someone familar with pcos.

Default Pcos

If you have been diagnosed with PCOS, you'll undoubtedly be best served by going to either Duke or UNC. University settings are more likely to have doctors that are familiar with the nuances of treating an illness such as PCOS. It would be of further benefit to you to keep all your doctors within the same system, so that they can more easily communicate with each other.

best of luck . . .

There was recently an exercise study at Duke for women with PCOS that one of my colleagues worked on. The PI was Dr. Ann Brown. I've heard she's great and she's very personable.
