I once bought a '64 Vette for $2,100 in 1968.

Neat looking car but a theft recovery. I was running a gas station then and had fun fixing it.

Made lots of points with the girls.

I heard that once you own a house, you can lease cars and basically get the money back on your income taxes is this true?? I have never heard of this before until my hubby told me someone else did this back north.

Default There is an exemption for SUV/work vehicles, if you can prove it is for work use

Bunch of people have been doing this forever. Some file mileage per job, others file lease cost per month.

SUV Tax Deduction 2005

The laws changed in 2005, basically for a short window, you were allowed to write off the total cost of the large truck/suv in that year instead of over 5 years.

If you can prove you use the vehicle for work related activities, than any expenses (mileage or fuel cost) will be reimbursable. Your talking about SUV/Heavy Truck tax clause that was stopped due to abuse by thousands of individuals. They would by a huge vehicle and write off about 65% of the vehicle on their taxes.
