Did you try plugging them in to the crime tracker?

Sounds like these are places within the Cleveland-Holloway neighborhood. You can read about the neighborhood here:
Cleveland Holloway Neighborhood

I would recommend checking the crime mapper, driving by the rentals, and gauging how comfortable you are there. Many people love this neighborhood, with its proximity to downtown and its lively, diverse community.

good luck!

Ah, if they are in Cleveland-Holloway that's a really interesting neighborhood. Some amazing deals to be found. It's not for everyone though, it's right smack in downtown and there are still a lot of boarded up houses there. However, it has a very active, devoted neighborhood association and amazing future. I have considered buying there and probably would if I were going to buy at all. To me (and know I know nothing really about real estate, but I do know a bit about up and coming urban neighborhoods) a decent house there is a sound investment.

Oops, you said you are renting there. To tell you the truth--the houses are so cheap there right now you may actually pay less as an owner!
