Hi! We are fairly new here and looking for something to do as a family for Mothers Day. I would rather do something fun than to get a cheesy moms day gift.
Any suggestions?

I think a lot of the nicer restaurants are quite expensive for Mother's Day Brunch.
The Umstead does a brunch that day too.

We go strawberry picking

first off, by now I'd say go to dinner not brunch. You may have a very hard time getting a brunch reservation, and they're definitely needed.

after that, what kind of food do you want on your day?

and before dinner, what type of thing would you want to do on your day?

I was thinking maybe Indian food since we havent explored any Indian restaurants here yet. My four yr old son loves Indian & Japanese. My husband is training for a marathon in June so he runs about 2 hrs Sunday mornings so I make breakfast late for him when he gets done training. I guess dinner might work better now that I think of it.
After his training is done and breakfast in over we won't have long before our sons nap. Guess I might just stick with dinner. :-)

oh, Indian food shouldn't be an issue either meal I would think. Certainly Mother's Day is a thoroughly American holiday. Then the question becomes vegetarian or carnivore?

They celebrate Mothers Day in other countries just not on the same day as US. It is in March in UK. I love veggies, the boys love meat!
