Keep in mind, anybody still boycotting businesses that opposed food trucks in downtown Raleigh, that Raleigh Beer Garden is owned by Niall Hanley (also owned of Solas and The Hibernian) who was an opponent of them.

Not a true beer garden, but looks pretty nice. An amazing number of taps. Probably close to $100 grand tied up in just the faucets.

I imagine it will be mega packed for a while after opening.

I think the vast majority have moved on. That was over 4 years ago and now it's more fashionable to hate on Greg Hatem for calling downtown "unliveable".

Kramer and the 12 year strike!

Okay I'm going to admit to not being much of a drinker, especially beer. If you would excuse my ignorance in asking how the beer is priced. Am I to assume it's self pour from the tap and you pay a set price for entry. I've been in a couple, during events downtown but not an actual establishment. I would imagine a free pour might have liability issues but the picture made it appear that you just go up to the wall and fill your Stein(not totally beer stupid) or does a bartender do it for you.

This is just going to be a big bar essentially. That tap wall is behind the bar. I doubt a free pour system like that would even be legal in NC, much less a good idea for making money.
