Just read Cary News and there was a small blurb that CTC is getting an indoor trampoline park.

Same here! I moved to Apex and thought it was a HUGE mall! (I moved from Wayne County, so anything was huge next to Berkley Mall! lol) I loved the sunken food court! (I swear a piece of greasy pizza from Brothers' was what put me in labor with my daughter!) I worked at Belk over Christmas one year. I have walked that mall many times, sometimes pushing a stroller, sometimes holding the hand of one of my kids. I don't do much in-store shopping these days, and if I do, it's rarely at a mall. My mother gave me a Belk gift card for Christmas (she does most of her shopping there), so I'd better get over there soon before we lose that one too!

I see I'm not the only one who found out how small Berkeley Mall really was compared to other malls!

One wonders...how Cary Mall will re-purpose itself with the proposed 90-acre development across the street.

The nearby senior housing going up ought to fill up fast, with the new H-T and proposed Wegmans both nearby for groceries and prepared foods.

Today, I still cannot figure out the two optical places in the mall that are actually 100 steps apart!

Patty Shake was closed up in the food court.

Meanwhile I really hope for a Great Wolf Lodge to take over space used by Sears/Macy's.

Either that or convert into a "lifestyle center" and make it into an outdoor mall like North Hills/outdoor portion of Southpoint.

But, it's such a nice place for a safe, clean 1.1 mile walk around the inside in any weather. Place was LOADED with seniors this afternoon. Food Court, coffee place gets some business from them.

A couple walkers isn't going to sustain a failing mall.

tear it all down and build an 800,000 s.f. Pizza-Mall, inviting all the best of NY and NJ Pizzerias to come down and set up shop.
